Letter from 2014’s Scholarship Winner, Brett Elizabeth Tucker
Dear Chattanooga Area Chapter of Alabama Alumni and Friends,

I am ecstatic to be starting my new journey at the University of Alabama an have really enjoyed the first few days of class.  I would like to thank you very much for choosing me as the Dr. Joseph and Betty Johnson scholarship recipient for this year.  I will be majoring in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, and I hope to one day work for NASA.  I want to get involved on campus by joining the robotics team at Alabama and I also plan to be a member of SWE (Society of Women Engineers).

I am so thankful for what you have done for my family by giving me this opportunity.  As you know, Alabama is a fantastic school and has many experiences that cannot be found anywhere else.  My family and I enjoyed getting to know you and your wonderful welcoming spirit at the BBQ picnic.

Roll Tide!

Brett Elizabeth Tucker
